The Funchal Municipal Council for Gender Equality and Non-Discrimination (CMIGND) validated its Activity Plan for 2026 on Wednesday. The decision was made during the first ordinary session of the current term, held in the Municipal Assembly Hall.
The meeting, chaired by councilwoman Helena Leal, also served to review actions already carried out and initiatives planned until December. The plan includes events for World Equality Day in October and the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women in November.
The agenda also features the Madeira Pride March, scheduled for this Saturday, September 26. The Council aims to strengthen cooperation between the Municipality and its represented entities to promote equality and combat discrimination.
