The Regional Government of Madeira is developing a new incentive program focused on the transport of goods between the islands of Madeira and Porto Santo. The primary objective is to support manufacturing industries, seeking to mitigate the effects of the energy crisis and rising fuel prices on the costs of products sold in Porto Santo.
This measure aims to ensure that product prices in Porto Santo remain comparable to those in Madeira, thereby protecting consumers from market fluctuations. The announcement was made by the Regional Secretary for the Economy, José Manuel Rodrigues, during his visit to Expo Porto Santo 2026.
