Iniciativa Liberal Elects New Regional Bodies, Outlines Strategy to Boost Political Influence

Iniciativa Liberal (IL) held its elective plenary in Madeira, electing new members for the Local Coordination Group (GCL) and the Plenary Assembly.

Gonçalo Maia Camelo will lead the new GCL, with António Costa Amaral as vice-coordinator. Priorities for the term include supporting the parliamentary work of elected deputies, revising the regional political program, and strengthening IL's territorial presence, particularly outside Funchal.

The IL also aims to increase its focus on youth, with a strategy targeting student and academic populations. Gonçalo Maia Camelo stated that the renewed team is "motivated to consolidate Iniciativa Liberal's growth in Madeira," aiming to "be ever closer to Madeirans."
