The Madeira Conservatory of Arts, Eng.º Luiz Peter Clode, in co-organization with the Regional Directorate of Education, is hosting the International Congress on Art Education 2027, from March 4 to 6, 2027, in Funchal.
The 16th edition of the event invites professionals, teachers, and researchers to share projects, experiences, and knowledge through presentations, posters, and practical workshops. The congress aims to foster discussion on the challenges and opportunities in art education, with proposal submissions open until November 10, 2026, via email at [email protected].
This year's theme is 'Art Education in Transformation: Challenges and Possibilities,' covering areas such as music education, dance, theater, visual arts, multimedia, and cinema. Topics like the impact of artificial intelligence, inclusion, sustainability, and pedagogical innovation will be discussed. Registration for both in-person and remote participation is open, with the first phase closing on November 30, 2026.
