Jaime Filipe Ramos, born nine months after the 25th of April, belongs to a generation that inherited Madeira's Autonomy but argues it is crucial to ensure its sustainability.
In an interview for the podcast "Rostos da Autonomia," Ramos, who holds a degree in Management, recalls the poor Madeira of his childhood, contrasting it with the transformation driven by Autonomy and European funds, which he considers a turning point from 1986 onwards.
With a political career that began in JSD-Madeira and included roles in PSD-Madeira and the Legislative Assembly, where he led the Social Democrat parliamentary group, Ramos believes the current generation in political responsibility needs to gain more powers and the financial means to exercise them.
