JPP criticizes delay in aid delivery to Madeirans in Venezuela

The JPP believes that the announcement of the €150,000 aid for earthquake victims in Venezuela was made only after the party highlighted that the funds, announced by the Regional Government almost two months prior, had not yet reached the institutions supporting the affected Madeiran community.

In a statement, the party recalled that in July, the Regional Government announced this support as a solidarity measure. According to the JPP, despite the public announcement, the aid remained unfulfilled until recently.

The party criticized this "form of political action based on announcing measures before their effective implementation," emphasizing that in emergency situations, the difference between announcing and executing "is a matter of political responsibility." The JPP views the decision to proceed with the funds positively and hopes they reach the recipients quickly.
