JPP Explains Delay in 'Toast to America' Document Collection Due to Certificate Requirement

JPP Secretary-General Élvio Sousa explained the party attended the Madeira Promotion Association to collect documentation for the 'Toast to America' event, citing the need to obtain a certificate for a slight delay.

Sousa responded to criticism from the Regional Secretary of Tourism, Environment and Culture, Eduardo Jesus, who accused the JPP of not appearing on time. The JPP had requested the documents in March and required court decisions to access the information after the Regional Government contested the initial ruling.

The JPP questioned the costs of the legal process and the Regional Government's expenses for promoting Madeira wine in the US, which saw a significant increase. The party will now review the collected documents and share them with the media.
