The JPP party advocates for a reinforcement of the collaboration protocol between the Regional Government of Madeira and the Public Security Police (PSP). Paulo Alves, representing JPP, presented a draft resolution recommending the Regional Government amend the protocol established in February 2006.
The proposal aims to expedite an increase in the percentage of road traffic fine revenue allocated to financing investments for the PSP's Regional Command in Madeira. Currently at 30%, JPP suggests this percentage be raised to 40%.
This increase in fine revenue would be used for the acquisition and renewal of vehicles, equipment, police infrastructure, technological resources, and other investments deemed essential for the operational development of the PSP in the region.
