The JPP party has announced it will make documentation concerning the 'Toast to America' event, requested from the Regional Government, available from October 19. The information will be published on the party's official website under the 'Transparency' section.
According to JPP, the 2025 edition of the event cost €134,379.50, including VAT, while this year's edition amounted to €548,292.40. The party states it is analyzing the received documentation and emphasizes the importance of transparency in public fund management.
JPP also indicated a lack of response from the Regional Secretariat for Tourism, Environment, and Culture regarding documentation for services acquired for the 2025 event. The party advocates for transparent promotion of Madeira abroad with financial return studies, asserting that access to official documents is a legal right.
