The Juntos Pelo Povo (JPP) party has warned of malfunctions in the ticketing system of the SIGA public road transport network, affecting Madeira and Porto Santo. According to JPP, these failures are causing difficulties for passengers and drivers, and preventing companies from collecting fares.
Deputy Paulo Alves stated that the party has received complaints from users about failures in the bus equipment, impacting the service. JPP considers it essential to ensure the maintenance of equipment and the reliability of digital systems.
Furthermore, the party urges the Regional Government to regularize the payment of financial compensation owed to transport companies for services rendered and requested reinforcements. JPP warns that payment delays could affect the financial stability of companies and service quality, citing the example of a transport operator placing employees on lay-off.
