Martins, beginning her second term, stated that JSD Santa Cruz aims to "continue being the most active and present youth in the municipality," positioning itself as "a resilient force against the opposition." Questions were raised about the absence of 143 announced housing units, the new Municipal Master Plan, and the €6 million promised for the Caniço taxi rank.
Proposals defended by JSD Santa Cruz include the creation of a municipal youth rental program and a municipal youth council. Bruno Melim, president of JSD-Madeira, also criticized the JPP's actions in Santa Cruz, comparing the mayor to a Venezuelan leader and criticizing various policies.
