JSD São Vicente has begun a new political cycle with the inauguration of Júlia Santos as the head of the local structure. The new leader of the young social democrats advocated for a "united organization capable of giving voice to the youth of the municipality" and set the goal of creating conditions for them to realize their life projects in São Vicente.
The ceremony included speeches from the regional JSD leader, Bruno Melim, and the former mayor of São Vicente, José António Garcês. Bruno Melim challenged the new team to contribute to the "reconstruction of the North" and criticized the current administration, calling for a focus on the PSD's organization and responsibility.
Júlia Santos highlighted housing, training, employment, sports, and culture as priority areas, assuring that JSD will monitor political decisions impacting young people and will not remain silent against "wrong choices, populism, and threats."
