'Lobo Marinho' Ferry to Undergo Extraordinary Dry Dock Intervention

The 'Lobo Marinho' ferry will undergo an extraordinary dry dock intervention in Las Palmas following a breakdown in September. Porto Santo Line has announced the vessel will be out of service from October 14 to 22, inclusive.

The decision follows a technical assessment by a SCHOTTEL Industries specialist, the propulsion system manufacturer. Porto Santo Line will implement measures to mitigate the disruption, including chartering a container ship for supplies and providing free refrigerated containers for fresh produce. Porto Santo residents will have 100 daily seats secured via Binter, subject to availability.

Passengers with bookings for the affected period can rebook without charge or request a full refund. Until the repairs begin, ferry services will continue with an approximate journey time of 3 hours and 15 minutes, with all safety conditions assured.
