The Machico Parish Council concluded this year's edition of its Summer ATL on August 28, 2026. The project, which ran throughout July and August, directly supported approximately 180 children.
The program offered a diverse range of educational, sports, cultural, and recreational activities, aiming to provide an active, safe, and enriching summer. The initiative also sought to support families during the school holidays, helping to balance professional and family life.
The Parish Council expressed gratitude for the collaboration of various associations, institutions, entities, technicians, and partners, highlighting the essential support from the Machico Municipal Council. Council President Pedro Viveiros described the ATL as a "huge organizational and financial effort" but crucial for Machico families, reaffirming the commitment to continue investing in such support policies.
