The Legislative Assembly of Madeira has approved a resolution project by the PS party recommending the implementation of the Independent Living Support Model (MAVI) for people with disabilities.
The proposal passed with the abstention of the ruling PSD and CDS majority, which rejected other opposition proposals.
MAVI is already in place on the mainland and the Azores, aiming to promote the autonomy and inclusion of individuals with disabilities.
