Madeira Diesel Prices Rise to 2.07 Euros Per Litre; Petrol Decreases

The price of road diesel in Madeira will see an increase of 4.1 cents per litre starting Monday, bringing the maximum retail price to 2.077 euros. This rise affects the most commonly used fuel by motorists on the island.

Conversely, 95-octane gasoline will decrease by 2.6 cents, moving from the current 2.010 euros to 1.984 euros per litre. Coloured and marked diesel will also see a price hike, increasing by 4.4 cents to 1.634 euros per litre.

The new maximum prices, officially announced by the Regional Directorate of Commerce, Industry, and Quality, will be in effect from September 21st to 27th. Despite a reduction in the Regional Government's Tax on Petroleum and Energy Products (ISP), this measure was insufficient to offset the impact of rising international quotations on diesel prices.
