Wind Turbine Blade Transport Causes Traffic Disruptions in Madeira

The transport of a second wind turbine blade between Ribeira Brava and Paul da Serra will cause traffic restrictions on Sunday, September 20th.

ENEREEM, a company of the Madeira Electricity Group (EEM), has announced that a special transport operation for a wind turbine blade to the Paul da Serra wind farms will take place next Sunday, September 20th.

To mitigate the impact on road traffic, the transport will depart earlier. Car traffic will be restricted between 3:00 am and 5:00 pm along the route between Ribeira Brava and Paul da Serra. The restrictions will affect sections of the VE3 and Regional Roads 210 and 105 on the access to Paul da Serra.

Estimated disruption periods for each section are provided to allow the public to potentially choose alternative routes and avoid issues on the VE3.
