The Madeira Festival, an initiative celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Autonomies, is currently underway in Lisbon until September 20th. The free-entry event runs daily from 12 PM to 11 PM at Jardim do Arco do Cego.
The festival aims to offer visitors a chance to discover, celebrate, and experience Madeiran identity, featuring a program dedicated to the gastronomy, culture, and crafts of the Autonomous Region of Madeira. The event also fosters community interaction and the appreciation of Portuguese cultural heritage.
Organized by the Parish Council of Avenidas Novas – Lisbon, the initiative is part of the Avenidas Hot Jazz – Festival de Jazz em Lisboa, with Guilherme Fradinho Quinteto performing at the latter's closing session.
