The Autonomous Region of Madeira will host a stop on the EEA Grants Roadshow 2026 on October 15th. This national initiative aims to present the opportunities of the new EEA Grants funding cycle, which allocates a total of €126.3 million to Portugal for the period 2021-2028.

The event in Madeira seeks to bring financing programs closer to regional entities interested in developing projects in the areas of Blue Growth, Green Transition, Combating Domestic and Gender Violence, and Culture. The roadshow will feature information on intervention priorities, funding opportunities, and bilateral meetings with Program Operators.

The gathering is aimed at a broad audience, including public and private entities, municipalities, educational institutions, businesses, and civil society organizations. João Figueiredo, coordinator of the EEA Grants Portugal National Management Unit, highlighted that the new cycle is an opportunity to "deepen cooperation and generate lasting impact in the country," aiming to bring funds closer to territories and facilitate project implementation.
