Deputy Miguel Castro, a native of Porto Santo, expressed concern over the current condition of the José Lino Pestana Sports Complex, located near his parents' home.
Castro recalled a time when the island lacked sports facilities and praised José Lino Pestana's role in promoting sports. The deputy believes that "someone turned their backs on Porto Santo" and calls for action to restore the complex, which was crucial for young people on the island to play football.
The intervention on the matter was applauded by JPP, the party that submitted the resolution project.
