The Minister of Agriculture and Sea, José Manuel Fernandes, visited the processing centre of Gesba - Madeira Banana Sector Management Company, in São Martinho this morning.
The visit allowed the minister to see the public company's facilities and equipment, as well as to meet with its managers and staff.
Earlier, the minister had visited a black scabbardfish fishing boat near the Funchal fish market and was scheduled to attend the opening of the 69th Madeira Agricultural Fair.
