Three wind turbines unloaded at Funchal Port for wind farm

The cargo ship BBC Brisbane began unloading operations on Friday morning for three wind turbines that will be installed at the Paul da Serra wind farm.

According to the Ports Administration of the Autonomous Region of Madeira (APRAM), the logistical operation is highly complex and involves a specialized team. The work is expected to continue throughout the day.

Although this type of equipment is usually unloaded at Caniçal Port, the responsible company opted for Funchal Port. The choice was due to lower cruise ship activity at this time of year, better accessibility, and closer proximity to the final destination.
