The Nova Direita party has praised the courage of nurses who signed waivers of responsibility, viewing this action as the only way to demonstrate the weakened state of the Regional Health Service.
According to the party, SESARAM's management has shown an inability to resolve the issues within the regional health system. Paulo Azevedo, the regional coordinator, criticized the Regional Secretary of Health for a lack of preparation and knowledge in the sector, which he believes hinders effective responses to challenges.
Nova Direita also holds the President of the Regional Government, Miguel Albuquerque, responsible for appointments based on "political favoritism" rather than professional competence. The party reaffirmed its support for all healthcare professionals and the dignity of the profession.
