Paula Margarido, Regional Secretary for Inclusion, Labour and Youth, visited Lar Margô, a Residential Structure for the Elderly (ERPI) in São Martinho.
Lar Margô, with a capacity for 20 residents and operating since February 2024, stands out as the only ERPI in the Autonomous Region of Madeira managed by a commercial company. The official learned about the resident-centered care model, which adapts support to each person's life story, habits, and autonomy.
Margarido praised the human dimension of the care, observing the team's commitment to placing residents at the center of care, respecting their individuality and dignity. The visit is part of the regular monitoring of social services in the region.
