The Porto Santo Municipal Council has begun intervention works on one of the island's main watercourses as part of a program for road recovery and urgent response.
The intervention includes the construction of new protective walls along the watercourse, which flows into a central area of the city, aiming to strengthen safety and bank protection.
Separately, the Regional Government is undertaking cleaning and recovery works on other watercourses on the island to improve drainage and prevent potential risks.
