On the night of Friday, June 26th, two Portuguese Air Force KC-390 aircraft took off from Air Base No. 11 in Beja, bound for Venezuela.
The aircraft carried a National Joint Force comprising 64 personnel and approximately 23 tons of humanitarian aid. The mission aims to support response operations following earthquakes that recently struck the country.
The cargo included personal protective equipment, search and rescue materials, medical equipment, medicines, tents, generators, food supplies, and other essential items for the affected populations. The mission was coordinated by the Joint Command for Military Operations.
