PS Accuses Government of Leaving Madeira's New Hospital Without Guarantees in State Budget 2027

Paulo Cafôfo, PS deputy in the Legislative Assembly of Madeira, criticized the State Budget proposal for 2027, warning about the absence of guarantees regarding the updating of funds allocated for the construction of Madeira's new hospital.

Comparing the 2027 proposal with that of 2026, Cafôfo stated that the previous budget included provisions for updating the work's values, considering factors like inflation. "If we look at the State Budget for 2027, the updating of values has completely disappeared," questioned the deputy, demanding guarantees on the fulfillment of financial commitments by the Republic's Government.

Cafôfo also argued that the PSD should be firmer in defending the Region's interests with the Republic's Government and that the current rulers' actions should also be scrutinized, pointing out other Madeira demands that remain unanswered in the budget proposal.
