The Socialist Party (PS) is proposing a 50% increase in funding for the Degraded Property Recovery Program (PRID) through a draft regional legislative decree introduced by Victor Freitas.
This program, active for 12 years, has already assisted over 300 families with a total investment of 85 million euros, averaging €19,000 per project.
Victor Freitas highlighted housing accessibility challenges, noting reports that over 90% of workers in the region cannot afford a studio apartment. He expressed hope for the proposal's approval and for the regional government, which has indicated a potential 57% increase, to consider an even larger enhancement.
