PSD-Madeira leader Miguel Albuquerque highlighted the island's evolution and autonomous achievements over five decades at his party's celebration. Albuquerque described Madeira as "a soul in the world," referencing its global communities.

He praised the party members' work and recalled past leaders. Albuquerque stated that Madeira expects the central government to assume its responsibilities, declaring the region does not accept discrimination and that the island is "at the center of the world."

Issues such as the mobility subsidy and the revision of regional finance laws were mentioned as pending matters requiring cooperation and resolution from the central government. Albuquerque assured that PSD-Madeira will not concede on rights and mentioned the need for a constitutional review to expand Autonomous powers.
