Jorge Carvalho, President of the Funchal Municipal Assembly, spoke at the Chão da Lagoa festival, an event organized by PSD-Madeira.
Carvalho greeted the Venezuelan community and thanked them for their support in his election, reaffirming his commitment to a better Funchal and solving citizens' problems.
The mayor also addressed the significance of 50 years of autonomy and local power, advocating for a legal revision that considers regional specificities. "Autonomy was our compass, social democracy the course that led to development," he stated, emphasizing the role of youth and militancy in the party's ongoing process.
