A red flag was raised today in the western sector of Formosa Beach due to strong surf, prohibiting swimming.
The situation is occurring during a spring tide period, with the surf becoming more agitated throughout this week.
This is not the first time this week that the red flag has been raised on Funchal's main supervised beach.
