The municipality of Câmara de Lobos has expressed its intention to contest the public company Águas e Resíduos da Madeira (ARM) over waste collection issues.
Mayor Celso Bettencourt has called for a lasting solution to prevent a recurrence of the two-week period without waste collection. Bettencourt also indicated that the municipality might reconsider its waste management strategy if these problems continue.
