The Municipal Garden Auditorium in Funchal hosted the 2026 Senior Dance Festival, an event that brought together participants from various groups and institutions of the Autonomous Region of Madeira.
The initiative, promoted by the Exemplos Sábios Association through the Dança Sénior Madeira project, aims to value the active role of the senior population, encouraging active aging, social interaction, and community participation through dance and movement.
This year's edition was attended by Funchal City Council member Helena Leal and included an international dimension with a representative from the Brazilian Senior Dance Association, facilitating the sharing of experiences and strengthening cross-border connections.
