The Municipal Garden auditorium in Funchal hosted the Senior Dance Festival 2026 on September 10th. The event brought together participants from various groups and institutions across the Autonomous Region of Madeira.
The initiative, attended by councilwoman Helena Leal, aims to highlight the active role of the senior population, encouraging active aging, socialization, and community integration through dance.
Organized by the Exemplos Sábios Association, the festival continues a project with over a decade of history in the region, supported by the Funchal City Council for four years. This year's edition also included a participant from Brazil, strengthening the event's international dimension and fostering experience sharing.
