Madeiran musician Tiago Sena, originally from Santana, made his UK debut at the inaugural Madeira Festival in London. His performance with his band was warmly received by the diverse audience, comprising Madeiran emigrants, mainland Portuguese, and British attendees.
Sena described the event as a "wonderful experience" and expressed his gratitude for the community's efforts in organizing such a significant festival. He specifically commended the organization, including Restaurante O Farol, for providing excellent conditions and the opportunity to share his pop/rock music with fellow musicians.
The festival featured over 50 artists, including regional musicians and folklore groups, and also showcased Madeiran gastronomy, crafts, and beverages like Madeira Wine and poncha. The Mayor of Santana, Dinarte Fernandes, attended as an honored guest.
