The Portuguese Institute for the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA) has extended its yellow warning for rain accompanied by thunderstorms in Madeira, compared with the alert issued the previous evening.
The institute has also brought the start of the warning forward by three hours. The thunderstorm warning now runs from 9:00 PM tomorrow until 9:00 AM on Sunday.
Residents and visitors are advised to take care while the warning is in force.
