The costs and conditions for transporting parcels to Madeira were highlighted during a parliamentary session on 'Geoblocking'. Carlota Mendonça from CTT expressed confusion over why some online purchases do not reach the island.
"Sometimes I don't understand why it doesn't arrive," Mendonça stated, pointing to five daily air transports and two weekly maritime supplies. She noted that items up to 30 kg can be sent by air, questioning delivery failures.
Mendonça also elaborated on how courier and express service costs depend on weight, service type, and delivery time. CTT also offers solutions for reverse logistics, such as online purchase returns, through their network.
