PAN spokesperson Inês Sousa Real has described the JPP's proposal for a parliamentary inquiry commission (CPI) into Luís Neves's actions as national director of the Polícia Judiciária as "premature."
Sousa Real argues that the ongoing judicial investigation should take precedence and its results should be known before proceeding with an inquiry. She did not anticipate the PAN's voting intention, deferring the decision to the National Political Commission.
The political leader distinguished between the judicial and political spheres, stating that Luís Montenegro should have already concluded that Luís Neves "does not have the political conditions" to remain in the Government. Sousa Real also advocated for assets seized in criminal cases to revert to the State, with oversight mechanisms for their use.
