MB WAY has warned on social media about phone calls from scammers posing as its customer support team. The aim is to obtain users' personal and banking details.
According to the service, fraudsters may disguise the number they call from so that it appears legitimate. They may claim that a user's bank card or account is at risk and try to persuade them to reveal sensitive information or authentication codes.
MB WAY stresses that it never calls users to ask for confidential information, authentication codes or login details, and never asks for test transactions or app installations from outside official app stores. Anyone receiving a suspicious call should hang up immediately, avoid sharing personal or banking information, and report it through MB WAY's official support channels. A familiar number on the screen is not enough reason to trust a call.
