PSD councilor António Gonçalves accused São Vicente's executive of demonstrating "great inertia" in governance, centering his criticism on water supply problems.
Gonçalves acknowledged the continuity of investments but argued that many of the works presented by the current mayor were prepared or contracted by the previous PSD executive. He highlighted that the PSD left a management balance of approximately 1 million euros and a solid financial situation.
The harshest criticisms were directed at water management, with Gonçalves rejecting the idea that current problems can be solely attributed to the past. He criticized the lack of effective response to a basic need, questioning how the municipality can plan for the future if it cannot resolve essential issues. The councilor also contested the priorities for the supply network, arguing that the Ginjas and Feiteiras networks, as well as the connection between Boaventura and São Cristóvão, should take precedence.
